The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to lead and grow our commissioning team for major Data Centre projects across Sweden. You will ensure a structured, auditable, and high-standard approach to the commissioning process, verifying that all installed M&E services operate exactly as designed.
This is a critical role responsible for the transition from construction to live operations in a high-uptime environment.
Key Responsibilities

Leadership: Supervise engineers and third-party contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and accurate testing (L2-L5).

Documentation: Author and review Commissioning Scripts, SOPs, and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) for all mechanical activities.

Planning: Lead onsite activities, including progress meetings, coordination with working parties, and ensuring all test equipment is calibrated and ready.

Execution: Lead pre-start briefings and witness testing through to client acceptance/handover.

Problem Solving: Identify technical defects or deviations from design intent, raising issues with the National Commissioning Manager to find rapid resolutions.

Collaboration: Work closely with Project Management and Statutory Authorities regarding plant start-up and cooling integration (including potential heat-export systems).

FAT/SAT: Attend Factory Acceptance Testing with clients as the technical lead for mechanical plant.
Technical Specification

Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of Mechanical services, including CHW loops, CRAC/CRAH units, pumps, valves, pipework, and complex HVAC systems.

Standards: Strong understanding of commissioning levels (L2 through L5) and industry-specific standards (e.g., Uptime Institute or ASHRAE).

Integration: Solid grasp of how mechanical plant interacts with BMS/EPMS and electrical standby power systems.

Methodology: A logical, step-by-step thinker capable of breaking complex system tests into manageable, progressive workflows.
Candidate Requirements

Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Commissioning Engineer specifically within Data Centre environments.

Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills to manage client witnesses and lead diverse site teams.

Technology: Proficient in design review and reporting technologies.

Language: Professional English is required; Swedish language skills are a significant advantage.

Mobility: Ability to work on-site in Sweden for the duration of the project phases.
