Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Generator Technician to join our team in Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of generators across various critical infrastructure sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring the reliability of power systems in critical facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, and maintain generator systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on generator units to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform load bank testing, fuel system inspections, and other diagnostic procedures to verify generator functionality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with customers, project managers, and other stakeholders to schedule service appointments, prioritize work orders, and communicate service updates.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, equipment inventory, and parts usage using digital management systems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and best practices to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in electrical or mechanical systems preferred.
  • Experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of generator systems, preferably in a critical infrastructure or power generation environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical principles, diesel engines, fuel systems, and generator control systems.
  • Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, customers, and vendors.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
