My client is a hydrogen-focused entity, they specialize in deploying 100% green industrial hydrogen production plants catering to both mobility and industry. The approach involves structuring, designing, developing, and operating these facilities sustainably. The ultimate goal is to offer clean, accessible, and competitively priced hydrogen while minimizing our environmental footprint.

We are looking for a dedicated Plant Manager to lead our green hydrogen startup company. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of our hydrogen production plant. Your primary objective will be to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the facility while adhering to strict sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee day-to-day plant operations, ensuring smooth production processes and meeting output targets.
  2. Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
  3. Lead and motivate a skilled team, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused work environment.
  4. Maintain compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards, minimizing the plant's impact on the ecosystem.
  5. Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to continuously improve plant performance and technology.
  6. Collaborate with supply chain and logistics to manage inventory and ensure timely deliveries.
  7. Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective measures promptly.
  8. Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting systems to track plant performance and KPIs.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience 3-5 years in plant management, preferably in the hydrogen industry.
  • Strong understanding of green hydrogen production processes and technologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a diverse workforce.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Problem-solving acumen and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a track record of achieving production targets and operational excellence.
  • Fluent German and English essential
