Industrial Diesel Generator Technician

We are seeking a qualified Industrial Diesel Generator Technician to join our team!

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the reliable operation of our industrial diesel generators. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and completing repairs to keep our generators running at peak efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks on industrial diesel generators according to established schedules.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose generator malfunctions using technical expertise and diagnostic tools.
• Repair and replace faulty generator components, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct load bank testing to verify generator capacity and performance.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and testing procedures.
• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and advancements in diesel generator technology.
• Collaborate with other technicians and maintain a safe and productive work environment.
• May be required to participate in on-call rotations to address emergency generator issues.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with industrial diesel generators.
• Strong understanding of diesel engine mechanics and electrical systems.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing complex generator problems.
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and meters.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues and customers.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
• A valid driver's license is preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., EGSA) are a plus.
