A pioneering medical technology startup based in Enschede, Netherlands, is seeking a skilled Verification/Validation Engineer to join their innovative team. This company specializes in developing cutting-edge chip technology for medical wearable applications, focusing on enhancing vital signs monitoring solutions for remote monitoring, in-hospital diagnostics, and health tracking in consumer electronics.Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute comprehensive verification and validation plans for advanced biometric sensing chips and medical wearable devices
  • Develop and implement test strategies for characterizing ultra-low-power chips used in measuring physiological parameters (ECG, EMG, EEG)
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for verification and validation processes, ensuring compliance with medical device regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and implement solutions
  • Perform failure mode analysis and risk assessments for new products and technologies
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of verification and validation methodologies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in verification/validation engineering, with a strong focus on characterization and testing of advanced chips
  • Proven experience in testing and characterizing low-power analog and mixed-signal ICs
  • In-depth knowledge of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA QSR)
  • Familiarity with electrophysiological measurement technologies (ECG, EMG, EEG)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities and experience working in cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with wearable medical devices or consumer health products
  • Knowledge of signal processing and data analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with automation tools for testing and characterization
