We build high-quality simulators that produce sunlight and measure the yield of solar panels. They are used by the world's largest solar panel manufacturers and leading R&D labs to ensure the performance and quality of their panels. We assure them that they can trust what they produce and develop. With our precision, ingenuity, and perseverance, we make a difference in this rapidly growing global market.

As solar energy becomes the world's leading energy source and our business continues to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic Lead Engineer in Electrical & Automation (PLC) to join our engineering team in The Hague. Are you ready to join us on this adventure?

The Role

The main responsibilities are designing, programming/configuring, testing, debugging, and commissioning control systems for our solar simulators. Examples of a Working Day as a Lead Engineer PLC:

  • Collaborating with other software engineers to design user-friendly HMIs to control the machines.
  • Providing support (normally remote but exceptionally on-site) to the service team and the customer during commissioning, updating, and troubleshooting of the PLC systems.
  • Testing the operating system and troubleshooting together with the mechanics and engineers in our production.
  • Travelling to a customer to install a new solar simulator (only if you enjoy doing this).

Job Requirements

You Enjoy:

  • Developing control systems.
  • Mentoring other engineers.
  • Hands-on working with machines.

  • Ability to take ownership of projects within your discipline from start to finish.
  • Aligning priorities with management, customer service, and sales teams.
