Darwin Recruitment are currently hiring for an Aeronautical Quality Specialist on behalf of a space company located in Paris that was founded in 2021, currently has around 25 employees looking to expand by a further 10 heads across 2024. This business is dedicated to addressing emergent threats such as space debris through cutting-edge technologies. With a focus on agility and rapid response, this business operates with a startup mentality, aiming to deploy solutions quickly to mitigate risks in the ever-evolving space industry. Their flagship technology, the interceptor, enables rapid access to space with 24 hours, facilitating critical missions like rendezvous and space debris capture. Their approach prioritizes emergency response capabilities, positioning them as leaders in the space industries urgent needs.
Responsibilities
- Consolidating and enforcing quality assurance processes and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Leading RAMS analyses, identifying potential issues and formulating robust mitigation strategies
- Managing the flight authorization request procedures, interfacing with regulatory authorities throughout the entire process
- Demonstrating the implementation of risks mitigation measures and their declination into operational procedures and/or technical requirements
- Identify current and future regulatory frameworks relevant to our operations
- Conducting regular reviews and audits to assess compliance with quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement
- Being the primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries and issues, providing timely resolution and escalation as necessary
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial projects in the aeronautical and/or aerospace sector, with demonstrated expertise in product assurance and quality management
- Familiarity with applicable quality standards and certifications for the aerospace industry (ECSS, MIL, NASA NPRs, EN9100, etc.)
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively summarize complex information
- Interpersonal and leadership capabilities
- Knowledge of the French Space Operations Act (LOS) is a plus
- As we have an international team, knowledge of technical English is required. Fluency in French is a plus
