Method Technician

Darwin Recruitment are currently hiring for a Method Technician on behalf of a company in Toulouse that was founded in 2017 that currently has a head count of 42 looking to expand to 50+ by the end of 2024. The company develops state of the art antennas for the satellite constellation market and for launchers. They currently have x2 products with the first being for Navigations where you are building an electronic low noise filter platform to attach to their antennas and the other being an X-band active payload telemetry Antenna.

About the position

Reporting to the Industrialization Manager, the Methods Technician establishes, optimizes, and ensures the stability of the manufacturing process in compliance with project or client requirements as well as applicable standards. He/she is responsible for documenting the manufacturing file, a crucial link between the activities of the engineering department and mass production.

Missions:

* Prepare the documentation for defining products developed by the engineering department (BOM, drawings, ICD, user manual)

* Create production folders (routing, instructions/procedures, procurement specifications, and subcontracting) and suggest improvement actions for existing documents.

* Carry out potential modifications/adjustments to mechanical components (using ANSYS SpaceClaim CAD software),

* Act as a driving force for proposed improvement initiatives

* Participate in the management of First Article Inspections (FAI) and provide support to the Production department during the start of initial production runs.

* Integrating technical data into production tools (item sheet, BOM, routing) and verifying proper operational execution

* Updating and optimizing technical data (configuration management, modifications)

* Participating in the industrialization phases of products (functional tests, FMEA, capability) up to First Article Inspection (FAI) completion

* Managing product changes and their configuration (ERP technical data management)

* Participating in the optimization of existing processes (reducing steps, organizing workflows, assembly time, ergonomics)

Profile required:

* Holder of a BTS, DUT, or a professional Bachelor in "Industrial Techniques in Aeronautics and Space,"

* The future Methods Technician is proficient in CAD software for technical drawings and can create, manage, and optimize manufacturing routes and technical data in an ERP or according to assembly procedures.

* They are also capable of participating in or overseeing the design of tools and equipment.

* Since the documents to be produced are intended for both the French and English-speaking ecosystem, proficiency in both languages is expected, as well as a good level of technical English.

* In terms of soft skills, this role requires a strong ability to work in a team with a knowledge-sharing mindset, a proactive approach, technical curiosity, and effective communication skills.
