Responsibilities:

  • Effective terminal infrastructure management encompassing a thorough evaluation of existing conditions and maintenance plans, resulting in well-founded budget recommendations.
  • Expanding terminal facilities involving multifaceted tasks such as conducting comprehensive feasibility studies, estimating project costs, and strategically managing the procurement process.
  • The development of brand-new terminals parallels the processes of expanding existing ones, with an intensified emphasis on environmental considerations, intricate engineering evaluations, and meticulous procurement planning to align with subsequent expenditure.
  • Terminal acquisition demanding meticulous due diligence assessments, encompassing a comprehensive review of the current state of infrastructure, allocation of budgets for maintenance, and diligent estimation of costs for potential improvements or expansions.
  • Vigilant monitoring is the linchpin of project success, ensuring that key aspects like quality, costs, and safety are diligently upheld to meet project goals.

Profile Required:

  • Master's degree in civil engineering.
  • Experience in the design and construction of port infrastructure.
  • Brings over 10 years of expertise in managing international construction projects, having worked as a design engineer or project construction manager in various capacities, including contractor organisations, engineering consultancies, and operator/concessionaire roles within the maritime infrastructure sector.
  • Demonstrates a strong focus on foundation works, heavy-duty pavement construction, quay walls, dredging, and other marine infrastructure projects.
  • Possesses knowledge of Health and Safety practices (HSE) and a deep understanding of best practices related to construction site safety, particularly within port facility projects.
  • Proficient in Building Information Management (BIM) and its effective application throughout different project phases.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Skilled at conveying engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experienced in establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
