Operations & Maintenance Specialist (Compressed Air)

Part-Time or Full-Time

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 + Overtime + Bonuses

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, remote monitoring, and oversight of compressed air system operations.
• Execute preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to the businesses environmental, safety, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with customers to manage plant production and maintenance activities effectively.
• Arrange maintenance schedules for various equipment in line with the companies guidelines.
• Regularly inspect systems for potential issues such as leaks, control irregularities, or unusual noises.
• Organize and oversee planned maintenance tasks and associated labor, verifying their completion.
• Maintain a clean and professional facility appearance.
• Respond promptly to service calls to uphold continuous compressed air supply for customers.
• Foster positive relationships with equipment vendors, manufacturers, and contractors.
• Adhere to proper management of change (MOC) procedures for operational adjustments.
• Document preventive maintenance activities, safety concerns, and inventory levels in weekly reports.
• Travel to sites as needed to support construction, commissioning, and maintenance operations.

Requirements:

• The preferred candidate should ideally hold at least an Associate's Degree in a technical field.
• They should demonstrate a solid comprehension of compressed air system service and operation, encompassing large centrifugal compressors, air dryers, instrumentation, and PLC/DCS control systems.
• The candidate must possess a grasp of electrical principles applicable to the safe operation and maintenance of electrical equipment in practical scenarios.
• They should exhibit mechanical aptitude, with basic proficiency in mechanical system upkeep.
• Proficiency in computer programs is essential; the candidate must be capable of utilizing or learning to use various software systems utilized at facilities, including but not limited to the MS Office suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are vital, along with the ability to interact effectively with customers and vendors.
• The role will necessitate travel of up to 40%.

Qualifications:

• Compressed Air Systems: Demonstrated proficiency in the service and operation of compressed air systems, encompassing large centrifugal compressors, air dryers, instrumentation, and PLC/DCS control systems.
• Instrumentation and Electrical: The candidate should possess an understanding of electrical principles applicable to practical scenarios involving the safe operation and maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Mechanical Aptitude: The candidate must possess fundamental skills in maintaining mechanical systems.
• Computer Programs: Proficiency in or the ability to learn various software systems utilized at the companies facilities, including but not limited to the MS Office suite, is required.
• General Qualifications: The successful performance of this role necessitates the ability to satisfactorily carry out each essential duty.
