Embedded Software Engineer

In this role, the individual will be an integral part of the BU SEMI engineering team, responsible for defining, specifying, and implementing customer-specific firmware into mechatronic products.

The tasks will include:

• Working on cutting-edge mechatronic control systems, encompassing specification, coding, verification, and troubleshooting of embedded software for edge devices.
• Designing software systems for edge devices and valve controllers.
• Applying industrialized coding in C to develop features and applications.
• Defining software components, features, and algorithms in alignment with requirements.
• Developing, conducting, and documenting tests and results for embedded control systems, with a particular focus on software.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams of experts within the organization.
• Establishing strong partnerships with customers for customized firmware and applications.

Requirements:

• Possession of an Engineering Degree in software, electronics, or mechatronics engineering.
• 1-3 years of experience in electronics, C/C++ programming for embedded systems, and related Development Toolkits.
• Proficiency in microcontrollers, such as ARM Cortex, NXP Cold Fire, understanding their functions and applications.
• Knowledge of various interfaces, including EtherCAT, TCP/IP Modbus, I2C, SPI, and CAN FD.
• At least one prior experience in software engineering and software system design for edge devices.
• A hands-on, systematic approach to problem-solving, with a strong team-player mindset.
