We are currently looking for air compressor service technicians in Orlando, FL.

This is for a distributor of air compressors and compressed air products.

Hourly rate: $30 - $42 + Bonuses + Overtime

Location: Orlando, FL

Requirements

  • Perform technical tasks, including mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, and repair of compressed air systems and accessories.
  • Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs of compressed air systems and accessories both during regular hours and after-hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs of compressed air systems and accessories.
  • Read and interpret operational manuals, electrical schematics, general compressed air equipment literature, and work orders to execute required maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations, including totaling work orders and applying basic compressed air formulas.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform duties.
  • Identify faulty operations or defective materials and report them, along with any other unusual situations, to the service manager promptly.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly shop work areas, company vehicles, and job site work areas.
  • Drive company vehicles to and from job sites throughout the day. Occasionally, overnight travel by land or air may be required.
  • Must be available to work overnight shifts as necessary.
  • Perform tasks requiring the use of welding tools, wiches, pulleys, hoists and pallet jacks.
  • May be required to tow a trailer or portable air compressor using a compnay vehicle.

Required Experience:

  • Working knowledge of compressed air systems and their components, including mechanical operations, associated hazards, and proper equipment usage.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and operational manuals for practical application in repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Proficient in fundamental mathematical operations.
  • Capable of implementing preventative safety measures to avoid electrical shock, minimize exposure to loud noises, and prevent personal injury by using personal protective equipment, including NFPA 70E protective gear when applicable.
  • Skilled in using mechanical tools for repairing and maintaining compressed air systems and their components.
  • Able to perform duties in non-climate-controlled environments such as outdoor conditions and non-weather-related wet, humid, and/or extreme heat conditions.
  • The position requires extended periods of standing, prolonged sitting while driving, as well as bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and using hands to finger, handle, and feel.
  • Ability to lift and/or move heavy objects up to 100 lbs throughout the workday.

Qualification:

  • High School or equivalent (GED)
  • 5 to 7 years of related work experience or training or equivalent combination of both education and experience
  • Motor Vehicle Record must be in good standing and comply with Company policy
