Onshore Wind Manager

A global leader in the sustainable energy sector is seeking a dynamic and experienced Onshore Wind Manager to join the team and drive the success of the current and upcoming onshore wind projects.

Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Oversee the development and execution of onshore wind projects from conception to commissioning, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, regulatory authorities, and local communities to foster collaboration and facilitate project success.
• Site Identification and Assessment: Lead the identification and assessment of potential onshore wind project sites, conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments.
• Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Manage the permitting process, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations and obtaining necessary approvals for project development.
• Financial Management: Work closely with finance teams to develop and manage project budgets, providing accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Contract Negotiation: Engage in contract negotiations with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders to secure favourable terms and conditions.
• Health and Safety: Prioritize and enforce health and safety protocols across onshore wind projects, fostering a culture of safety and adherence to industry standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in onshore wind project management, including site identification, permitting, and execution. Previous experience in the renewable energy sector is highly desirable.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify challenges, develop innovative solutions, and make informed decisions.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of local and national regulations related to onshore wind project development.
