Location: Newport Beach, CA

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Air Compressor Service Technician to join our team in Newport Beach, California. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of various air compression and vacuum systems, including rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors, nitrogen generators, and dryers. This role involves both scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of equipment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and Repair:
• Perform technical tasks including mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, and repair of compressed air systems, vacuum systems, nitrogen generators, and dryers.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and repair services for all related equipment.
• Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs both during regular hours and after-hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Technical Expertise:
• Interpret schematics, operational manuals, and technical literature to perform maintenance and repair tasks accurately.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Implement preventative safety measures to avoid electrical shock, minimize exposure to loud noises, and prevent personal injury by using appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly shop work areas, company vehicles, and job site work areas.
• Operational Duties:
• Detect faulty operations or defective materials and report them, along with any other unusual situations, to the service manager promptly.
• Perform duties in various environments, including non-climate-controlled outdoor conditions and non-weather-related wet, humid, and/or extreme heat conditions.
• Drive company vehicles to and from job sites throughout the day, with occasional overnight travel by land or air required.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors, vacuum systems, nitrogen generators, and dryers.
• Technical Skills:
• Working knowledge of compressed air systems and their components, including mechanical operations, associated hazards, and proper equipment usage.
• Proficient in interpreting schematics and operational manuals for practical application.
• Basic mathematical proficiency for totaling work orders and applying compressed air formulas.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform tasks requiring extended periods of standing, prolonged sitting while driving, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and using hands to finger, handle, and feel.
• Ability to lift and/or move heavy objects up to 100 lbs throughout the workday.
• Other Requirements:
• Full driver's license.
• Ability to work overnight shifts as necessary.
• May require the use of welding tools, winches, pulleys, hoists, pallet jacks, and towing trailers or portable air compressors with a company vehicle.
