Solar EPC Project Manager

Our client, a prominent international developer in the solar industry, specializes in the development, turnkey implementation, and financing of high-performance solar parks and hybrid plants for institutional investors and companies. With its headquarters in Wesel, Germany, the company oversees and coordinates its operations from this central hub.

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to join their dynamic project team in Wesel as soon as possible.

Your Role:

As a Project Manager, you will take charge of managing photovoltaic projects across Germany. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the management of both grid-connected and off-grid ground-mounted and floating photovoltaic systems.
• Overseeing projects from the bidding phase through to construction supervision and final handover, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Coordinating project teams, including project engineers, site managers, and procurement specialists, for component selection and subcontractor tenders.
• Collaborating and negotiating with national and international suppliers, customers, and partners to solve problems and ensure project success.
• Preparing and managing tenders for suppliers, analyzing offers, and delivering both internal and external presentations.
• Working closely with the asset management team to oversee plant management and reporting.
• Implementing efficient project management and administrative processes, with a focus on continuous improvement of existing workflows and structures.

Your Profile:

• A university degree in a technical field, or equivalent qualifications (technician or completed apprenticeship with several years of relevant experience).
• Proficiency in written and spoken German is essential; knowledge of English is a strong advantage.
• At least 2 years of experience in project management, specifically in ground-mounted photovoltaic projects (ranging from 5 to 50 MWp).
• Willingness to travel across Germany as required.
• Solid skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, MS Project); knowledge of CAD, PVSyst, or other project design software is a plus.
