Our client, a well-established leader in yacht design and engineering, is searching for a Naval Architect to join their growing team.

The Role

As a Naval Architect, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of yacht design, from concept to detailed engineering. Your key responsibilities will include the design and technical calculations for a variety of vessels, ranging from sleek tenders to luxury superyachts. You'll work across multiple sizes and speeds of vessels, collaborating with a close-knit and highly skilled team. This role offers you the chance to learn from experienced professionals, hone your skills, and contribute to the creation of world-class yachts.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and calculate yachts from initial concepts through to technical specifications.
• Collaborate with colleagues on structural, performance, and safety aspects of various yacht types.
• Participate in problem-solving to ensure designs meet the client's vision and adhere to industry standards.
• Work on a variety of projects, each with its own unique challenges, from high-speed tenders to ultra-luxury superyachts.
• Contribute to the creation of innovative, technically sound, and aesthetically striking vessels.

Requirements

• A degree in shipbuilding or maritime engineering (MBO or HBO level).
• Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, and Maxsurf.
• A strong grasp of naval architecture principles and yacht performance.
• Excellent command of the Dutch language (both spoken and written).
• A passion for water sports or boating is a definite plus!
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
