About the Role:
My client is seeking a motivated and highly skilled Civil Engineer to join their growing branch in Visp which employs around forty people and specialises in Structures (buildings and engineering), underground works, road and rail infrastructure, earthquake-resistant reinforcements, watercourse development and natural hazards.
Responsibilities:
- Project manager for road or rail infrastructure for national and private railway companies
- Familiarity with VSS and/or railway (SBB-OFT-UIC) standards
- Collaborate effectively with various project stakeholders, including specialist services, builders, offices, and authorities
- Embrace digitalization and BIM methodologies
- Share knowledge and mentor junior team members
Qualifications:
- Civil engineering degree (ETH/TU/FH or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in railway/road construction project management
- Strong understanding of Swiss railway standards and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in German (C1 level or native)
- Additional language skills in French preferred
- Independent, results-oriented, and adaptable with a strong sense of initiative
- Motivated, communicative, and solution-oriented with a collaborative spirit
