Job - Senior SCG Engineer - HVDC Control Systems

Contract Length - 6 months

Project focus: The project entails working on HVDC control systems, specifically the SCADA Communication Gateway (SCG), for integrating automation devices and communication systems in energy transmission substations. Tasks include creating and maintaining specifications and manuals, configuring the central control system, and ensuring seamless communication between components during integration and testing.

Key skills and Experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Engineering
  • Up to three years of experience in control systems for energy transmission
  • Proficiency in project management, customer communication, and teamwork
  • Understanding of SCADA systems in energy transmission, including substations
  • Technical proficiency in English
  • Experience with Remote Control Interface, protocol converters, and data concentrators
  • Familiarity with configuring IPCOMM ipConf Gateway & protocol converters
  • Knowledge of integrating ancillary systems into control systems
  • Signal processing and database systems experience
  • Familiarity with control protocols such as IEC101, IEC104, IEC61850, OPC, and DNP
