Scientist, Analytical Chemistry

My client, an innovative Biotechnology company in Berlin is hiring an analytical scientist to join their CMC department. If you have a Ph.D. in chemistry or a related life science field, a minimum of 5 years' experience in Chemistry or Biochemistry, and expertise in chromatographic and spectrometric methods, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• To develop and validate methods for raw materials and act as SME for the CMC department.
• To design and perform characterization studies of raw materials, including impurity characterization and stability studies.
• Oversight of the daily lab routine, troubleshoot and maintain analytical procedures.
• To participate in discussions and communicate results in multidisciplinary team
• Technology Transfer of in-house developed methods to different CROs / CMOs.

Person Specification:

• PhD in Chemistry or Biochemistry with experience in chromatographic and spectrometric methods for the characterization of oligonucleotides or peptides.
• Broad hands-on experience of analytical method development (HPLC MS and UV).
• Hands on experience with QTOF MS for the sequencing of biomolecules would be a plus.
• Experience with IR techniques would be a plus.
• Post-doctoral or industry experience in a relevant field would be a plus.
