We are actively seeking a Structural Engineer with a focus on industrial projects, possessing a strong background in structural design and field experience. The ideal candidate will have a PE license and 5+ years of relevant tenure. This role involves a balance of fieldwork, engaging with customers, and potential growth into a management position.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct field visits, spending 20 to 30% of the time collecting measurements and requirements for small to medium-sized structural projects within the industrial sector.
  2. Collaborate with project engineers and project managers to ensure seamless integration of designs with operational requirements, especially in industrial settings such as manufacturing plants and paper mills.
  3. Create or reconfigure structures, stairs, platforms, and foundations, with a focus on repairs, enhancements, and structural upgrades in existing facilities.
  4. Develop and utilize proficiency in structural software tools such as Resa 3D for accurate structural calculations and AutoCAD/Revit for drafting and design purposes.
  5. Engage directly with customers in a professional and customer-centric manner, acting as a point of contact for structural-related discussions and requirements.
  6. Lead and manage the structural department over time, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to a growing team of engineers.
  7. Act as a vital link between the engineering team based in different locations, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  2. Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  3. 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably with a mix of fieldwork and structural design in the industrial space.
  4. Proficiency in structural design software such as Resa 3D, AutoCAD, and Revit.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an aptitude for customer-facing interactions.
  6. Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and willingness to travel within the specified regions (day trips, occasional overnight stays).
