Our client is a rapidly expanding engineering firm specializing in underground infrastructure projects. Based in the Netherlands, they have become a full-service engineering provider within the Telecom and Energy markets across the Benelux region and Germany. As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced engineer with a strong background in telecommunications who is ready to transition into a client management role.

Job Summary:

As a Client Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the development of new underground infrastructure projects within the Telecom and Energy sectors. This position is ideal for an engineer with telecommunications experience who is eager to broaden their skill set by stepping into client management.

You will start by working closely with an experienced colleague on projects, gaining hands-on experience. Over time, you will transition into a more autonomous role, where you will take full ownership of client relationships. This role also offers the potential for involvement in expanding the company's footprint in the German market, making it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer looking to grow within the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Understand client needs and ensure they are met through effective communication and collaboration with internal teams.
• Project Design and Coordination: Work closely with technical project teams to create and refine technical designs for underground infrastructure projects, specifically within the Telecom and Energy markets. Ensure that designs align with client requirements and industry standards.
• Implementation and Realization: Oversee the implementation phase of projects, ensuring that all technical aspects are executed according to plan. Monitor progress, address any issues that arise, and keep clients informed of project status.
• Telecommunications Expertise: Apply your background in telecommunications to address specific challenges and opportunities within the sector. Leverage your knowledge to provide technical insights and recommendations that enhance project outcomes.
• Independent Project Management: This includes coordinating with internal teams, managing timelines, and ensuring project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Market Expansion: Contribute to the company's growth by exploring opportunities to expand services into the German market. Assist in identifying potential clients, understanding market needs, and tailoring services to meet those needs.

Requirements:

• Telecommunications Background: A strong foundation in telecommunications engineering is essential. This experience will be crucial as you transition into client management, where you will need to understand and address the specific needs of telecom clients.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with drawing programs is required, along with a preference for familiarity with project management tools. Your technical skills will be vital in ensuring the accuracy and quality of project designs.
• Communication Skills: Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written, is required to effectively communicate with clients and internal teams.
• Educational Background: An HBO 2e job or MBO graduate with additional relevant experience is preferred. The role is ideal for someone who has practical experience and is eager to transition into a client-facing role.
