Job Title: Application Engineer

Position Overview:

The organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Application Engineer to join its engineering team. In this role, the Application Engineer will provide technical expertise and support to customers, sales teams, and partners by understanding their needs and offering customized solutions using the company's range of products. This role plays a crucial part in bridging the gap between the products and their application in diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and distributors to understand technical requirements and provide tailored solutions using the company's products.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions.
  • Assist in designing and developing applications using the company's automation, interface electronics, and interconnection products.
  • Conduct site visits, evaluations, and feasibility studies to ensure optimal product selection and application.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for customer applications, including system designs, configurations, and support materials.
  • Work closely with R&D and Product Management teams to provide feedback on product performance and recommend enhancements based on market needs.
  • Support the development and execution of application-specific marketing and sales strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to ensure the company's solutions remain competitive and innovative.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in trade shows, seminars, webinars, and other events to promote the company's solutions and capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an application engineering role, preferably in automation, electrical interconnection, or interface electronics.
  • Strong knowledge of automation systems, PLC programming, industrial networking, and related technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proven ability to analyze and solve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with CAD software and electrical schematic design tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to travel as required to support customer needs and attend events.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with similar products in the automation and electrical interconnection industry.
  • Certifications in relevant technical areas (e.g., Certified Automation Professional, etc.).
  • Knowledge of fieldbus protocols, such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc.
