NB: For this role we are only considering software engineers who are already located in the Netherlands. This role offers hybrid work and regular visits to the office in the Amsterdam area are required.

Do you consider yourself a software engineer and not just a developer? Do you have a great passion for writing clean code, and do you also know how your code behaves once it's in production? Want to be part of a cutting-edge digital transformation, and excited to use the latest in cloud technologies?

Our client is at the forefront of digital innovation, continuously evolving their global technology platform. As they advance their cloud environment, the biggest challenge will be automating new modern technologies to enhance and mature their cloud services, aligning with ever-changing business demands. In this role you will be working alongside the product owner of the team, assessing the quality of various technical decisions with your expertise, while also guiding and mentoring more junior team members.

I'm looking for someone who:

  • Has at least 6 years of experience as a software developer, ideally working in large enterprise environments.
  • Is a software engineer at heart with a passion for coding in languages such as C# and .NET. Additional experience with Python and PowerShell is a big plus.
  • Has proven experience in using infra-as-code effectively with Bicep. Additional Terraform knowledge is a big plus.
  • Possesses hands-on expertise with CI/CD pipeline automation and cloud management platforms.
  • Is proficient in automated build and release management processes.
  • Has experience in cloud administration, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Holds at least a bachelor's degree (mandatory) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (master's preferred). Certificates in Azure are a big plus.

Who is interested in:

  • Developing solutions for global scale cloud deployment and consumption.
  • Performing infrastructure as code, pipeline deployments, and automating IT operations in complex compute environments.
  • Solving complex problems and performance issues in a distributed environment.
  • Writing automated unit tests and implementing functional classes and methods.
  • Building constructive working relationships across different teams.

For a company who:

  • Offers a base salary of up to €85.000 per year (including 8% holiday allowance).
  • Also offers other benefits such as a pension plan, mobility budget, bonus, and more.
  • Provides 30 vacation days with the option to buy or sell additional days.
  • Embraces hybrid working with a fully furnished home office setup.
  • Focuses on employee well-being with access to health and vitality programs.
  • Encourages social activities, team events, and networking opportunities.

We know we ask a lot but encourage you to apply even if you fit 80% of the role.
