As an internal design hub, AMS-CC is committed to establishing a robust centralized team, serving as the go-to "Centre of Excellence" in design by delivering a high level of proficiency, adaptability, and quality across various Business Lines/Product Lines.

The chosen AMS CC Architect will play a pivotal role in crafting state-of-the-art IC design solutions across diverse application domains.

Responsibilities: The AMS CC Architect is tasked with translating requirements specifications into architecture specifications and design requirements. They define and specify the architecture of the entire IC/system/IP, ensuring correct implementation, performance, cost considerations, and proper interaction among elements (e.g., chip, SW, tools, emulator, etc.).

  • Operates at the conceptual level.
  • Leads IC/subsystem/IP architecture efforts.
  • Takes charge of and refines high-level models (Matlab), such as signal processing development transitioning from floating to fix point.
  • Provides technical coaching to the design team in their respective domain.
  • Develops verification strategy and coverage, as well as validation strategy and support.
  • Reviews verification and validation results.
  • Holds responsibility for Specification and Datasheet.
  • Assists in defining customer requirements.
  • Drives requirements definition (test, dfx, performance).
  • Reviews design activities, ensuring the full functionality of the system through peer reviews.
  • Ensures technical communication and information flow within the entire team.
  • Ensures re-use and supports make/buy decisions.
  • Collaborates with the architecture community through innovation forums.
  • Handles ID filing.
  • Provides technical leadership, fosters innovation, and establishes connections with academia.

Your Profile: To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, accompanied by 10+ years of experience in analog and mixed signal circuit design.
  • Proven expertise and creativity in AMS IC design, validation, and measurement.
  • Strong proficiency in EMC/ESD and device physics.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of state-of-the-art analog DfT concepts.
  • Solid fundamentals in circuit theory and hands-on experience in design and layout techniques.
  • Thorough understanding of AMS IC design and V&V processes, EDA tooling (Cadence/Verilog AMS), and design flows.
  • Familiarity with relevant processes, methods, and quality standards.

  • An excellent communicator and team player, capable of working in multi-disciplinary and multi-site teams.
