Contract Length - 12 months

Project Focus: Take on a pivotal role in a leading energy company, specializing in troubleshooting and detecting issues within IT/IT-centric systems. You will design and implement key automation aspects of equipment projects, including PLC, vision, and HMI programming. Your work will ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of automated utility, processing, filling, inspection, and packaging equipment.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

• 5+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer
• Expertise in design and PLC programming (configuration of PLC program) on standard equipment/products
• Proficient in designing electrical panels and performing complex quality checks on machine control systems
• Strong IT knowledge, especially in automation systems, and experience with digital transformation; Kneat experience is a plus
• Ability to read logic, perform programming, and update control system documentation
• Proven track record in generating user requirement specifications for control systems and making minor modifications to code and HMI graphics
• Skilled in generating and developing standard operating procedures and system support
• Excellent planning, organizing, time management, and team participation skills
• Responsible for routine and preventive maintenance work to ensure equipment and facilities operate safely and efficiently
• Experience in analyzing operational process problems and recommending corrective and preventative actions
• Competent in managing change control authoring and execution
• Participation in site and network-wide teams to provide cybersecurity alignment and direction
• Ability to mentor and guide junior staff and serve as a technical trainer when necessary
• Strong communication skills to clearly convey progress and issues to peers
• Availability to provide 24x7x365 support for automation systems and perform automation activities for both capital and non-capital projects
