I have an exciting opportunity for a experienced Purchasing Specialist for a manufacturing company based in Aurora, IL.
Requirements:
- 3 - 5 years of purchasing experience focused on production scheduling within a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in effectively communicating timelines to vendors, customers, and internal departments.
- Familiarity with MRP systems (preferably Epicor).
- Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships across the company.
- A positive, collaborative, and proactive approach.
- Desire to work as a productive and cooperative team member.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good mathematical and computer proficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively coordinate and create daily production schedules for manufacturing in alignment with customer demands and forecasts.
- Assess inventory levels and plan and schedule material arrivals accordingly.
- Collaborate with the accounting department to address pricing concerns.
- Utilize historical data analysis to identify purchasing and production scheduling trends.
- Conduct negotiations with vendors and establish relationships with new suppliers.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve any delivery issues related to production schedules.
- Work with the inventory department to address material discrepancies and find resolutions.
- Adapt and modify production schedules based on changes in demand or availability of production personnel.
