I have an exciting opportunity for a experienced Purchasing Specialist for a manufacturing company based in Aurora, IL.

Requirements:

• 3 - 5 years of purchasing experience focused on production scheduling within a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in effectively communicating timelines to vendors, customers, and internal departments.
• Familiarity with MRP systems (preferably Epicor).
• Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships across the company.
• A positive, collaborative, and proactive approach.
• Desire to work as a productive and cooperative team member.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good mathematical and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively coordinate and create daily production schedules for manufacturing in alignment with customer demands and forecasts.
• Assess inventory levels and plan and schedule material arrivals accordingly.
• Collaborate with the accounting department to address pricing concerns.
• Utilize historical data analysis to identify purchasing and production scheduling trends.
• Conduct negotiations with vendors and establish relationships with new suppliers.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve any delivery issues related to production schedules.
• Work with the inventory department to address material discrepancies and find resolutions.
• Adapt and modify production schedules based on changes in demand or availability of production personnel.

Offer:

• Salary $65,000 - $75,000, depending on experience
