Responsibilities:
- Strengthen the Lead Engineer (LE) best practices as a Technical Manager or Lead Rail Security Engineer.
- Co-own the development of a clear LE process description and enhance the rollout of Systems Engineering (SE) processes.
- Guide two general project teams through change processes within the Rail Security team.
- Maintain a comprehensive portfolio overview of all department projects from a human-process-technology perspective alongside a colleague project manager.
- Support the Main Advisory Group by predicting, reporting, and maintaining technical project status.
- Assist in the quotation process and enhance the learning within the project organization.
- Improve processes for subsequent projects in collaboration with the quality and safety manager.
- Collaborate with senior lead engineers to overcome LE challenges in rail security projects.

Requirements:
- Completed HBO or WO education focusing on technical management, engineering management, project management, and systems engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar position, which can be considered in lieu of formal education in exceptional cases. Experience across different sectors is acceptable, not limited to rail or infrastructure.
- While an electrical engineering background is not mandatory, a strong affinity with principles of electricity, software, systems, and process-oriented technical safety work is essential.
- Proven experience in a Lead Engineering or Technical Management role, ideally involving formal safety evidence, preferably within rail projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch, with a good command of English.
