My client is a leading international engineering company with a rich history of providing specialist solutions for diverse structures. They seek a talented and motivated R&D Engineer to join their small dynamic team in Zurich, Switzerland.
What you will do:
- Lead R&D projects, reporting directly to the Head of Technology.
- Design new systems and products for the global construction industry.
- Provide technical support for international projects, including post-tensioning, stay cables, and structural maintenance/repair.
- Conduct tests (small and large scale) at international laboratories, focusing on Europe.
- Develop detailed documentation to obtain technical approvals.
- Represent the company at international conferences and congresses.
- Participate in international technical committees for new standards and industry guidelines.
You are the ideal candidate if you have:
- A master's degree (M.Sc. Eng.) or PhD in Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Material Science.
- Experience in international R&D projects (preferred).
- A strong sense of innovation with a commercial mindset.
- Proficiency in FEA software, particularly ABAQUS.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken). German language skills are a plus.
- A proven track record of technical report writing, documentation creation, and presentations.
- Excellent teamwork skills for internal and external collaboration within our global network.
- A willingness to travel.
