Are you ready to take the lead in sustainability reporting and assurance within a global listed enterprise in the logistics sector? We are seeking a passionate sustainability SME with an accountancy or controller background and a strong command of data analysis to drive our internal ESG efforts.
About the Role:
As the ESG Reporting Specialist, you will spearhead our sustainability reporting initiatives, ensuring that both financial and non-financial disclosures are accurate, compliant, and aligned with our client's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and NetZero Targets. Your expertise in financial oversight, sustainability frameworks, and data analysis will be pivotal in shaping our client's approach to CSRD implementation, with a particular emphasis on CO2 emissions reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Environmental Standards Compliance (E1 to E5): Ensure accurate disclosures on climate impact, pollution, marine ecosystems, biodiversity, and circular economy practices, all informed by materiality assessments.
- Social Standards Compliance (S1 to S4): Oversee transparent reporting on employee rights and welfare, supply chain labor conditions, community impact, and consumer welfare, based on materiality outcomes.
- Double Materiality Assessment: Lead the assessment process to inform ESG roadmaps and set decarbonization targets in alignment with the Green Deal.
- Policy Development: Develop and update policies related to emissions accounting, sustainability practices, and ESG reporting.
- Emission Accounting: Conduct thorough analysis and reporting of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, ensuring compliance with the latest standards and guidelines.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather and validate ESG data, fostering transparency and accountability throughout the organization.
- Leadership in ESG Systems: Partner with the IT department to design and implement a management system aimed at enhancing the overall ESG KPIs of the company.
- Internal Controls: Develop and implement robust internal controls for ESG data collection, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all disclosures.
What We're Looking For:
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in both Dutch and English.
- Qualifications: Preferably a Registered Accountant (RA) or Registered Controller (RC) or holding a master's degree in finance or accounting.
- Experience: Strong knowledge of EU Sustainability Regulations with a minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in NFRD/CSRD. Big 4 background or experience in the supply chain industry are nice to have.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with ERP systems, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, and data visualization tools.
- Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to manage and collaborate with various stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
- Policy Development & Report Writing: Strong skills in policy development and crafting detailed, compliant ESG reports.
