Summary:
The company is seeking a talented and experienced Analog Chip Designer to join their dynamic team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of analog and mixed-signal circuits for the company's next-generation medical and wearable device products. They will work closely with cross-functional teams, including digital designers, layout engineers, and verification engineers, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance in these critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Circuit Design: Design and develop high-performance, low-power analog and mixed-signal circuits for medical and wearable devices, including but not limited to biosensors, amplifiers, filters, data converters, and power management circuits, using industry-standard design tools and methodologies.
- Simulation and Verification: Perform comprehensive simulations and verification of designed circuits, ensuring they meet stringent performance requirements, power constraints, and design specifications, while adhering to relevant medical and safety standards.
- Layout and Integration: Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure the successful physical implementation of designed circuits, considering factors such as area, power consumption, signal integrity, and form factor constraints for wearable and implantable devices.
- Design Reviews: Participate in design reviews, presenting their work to peers and senior engineers, and providing constructive feedback on other team members' designs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date design documentation, including schematics, specifications, test plans, and compliance reports, following established standards and best practices in the medical device industry.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in analog and mixed-signal design for medical and wearable applications, and actively contribute to the team's knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design, with a strong background in one or more of the following areas: biosensors, amplifiers, filters, data converters, or power management circuits for medical or wearable devices.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in analog and mixed-signal design tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, or Mentor Graphics, as well as experience with circuit simulation tools like SPICE.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex design issues while considering medical device constraints and requirements.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including medical professionals and regulatory bodies.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to the overall success of the project and the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced process nodes (e.g., 28nm, 16nm, or below) for low-power and compact designs
- Knowledge of low-power design techniques and energy-efficient circuit design for wearable and implantable devices
- Familiarity with mixed-signal design methodologies and verification techniques for medical applications
- Experience with analog/mixed-signal IP development and reuse in the medical device industry
- Understanding of relevant medical device regulations and compliance requirements
