Job - Electrical and Control Engineer (MATLAB/Simulink)

Contract Length - 6 months

Project focus: The project entails modeling HVDC systems, developing control algorithms, and integrating them into simulation software such as MATLAB/Simulink and PSCAD. Tasks include conducting time-domain simulations and documenting results for projects like Norfolk and Tyrrhenian Link.

Key skills and Experience required:

  • Master's degree in Electrical and Control Engineering, preferably in Energy Technology, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics and modeling converters (HVDC, WTG, etc.) and their control, particularly in voltage control concepts
  • Fluent in English with negotiation skills
  • Intercultural experience and ability to collaborate with internal and external partners
  • Proficiency in simulation software including MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, and Powerfactory Digsilent, with modeling experience
  • Knowledge of network calculation for power supply systems, such as stability analysis and reactive power requirements, is advantageous
