The main duties of the Service Technician involve delivering services to customers, including vehicle repairs, equipment maintenance, refurbishment, and rebuilding.

Service Technician must always exhibit positive and effective interaction with all customers, associates and vendors.

Location: Minot, ND (On-site)

Salary: $62,000 - $85,000 + Overtime + Benefits

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a steadfast commitment to the company's safety principles in all actions and communications, adhering to safety manuals and procedures.
  • Generate and keep accurate service and repair documentation for all planned work.
  • Utilize and comprehend all pertinent documents, forms, and procedures.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and compressed air systems.
  • Carry out service and repair tasks on on-road, off-road mobile equipment, and industrial fluid power systems.
  • Address hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and other system components in need of attention through service and repair.
  • Refurbish, rebuild, and replace necessary components to restore equipment to the required operational condition.
  • Execute welding and fabrication tasks as per project requirements.
  • Attend mandated training programs covering products, services, and personal development provided by or through the company.
  • Maintain a tidy work area to ensure safety and facilitate project completion.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by being available for overtime, travel, and occasional on-call shifts.
  • Fulfill any and all other duties assigned by management.

Required Skills

Extensive expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and installing hydraulic, compressed air, and mechanical systems; skilled in fundamental hydraulic plumbing, welding, and mechanical fabrication.

Proficiency in interpreting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical drawings and schematics; capability to acquire skills in operating lathes, milling machines, drill presses, hydraulic presses, and similar machinery.

Exemplifying professional and outstanding customer service, possessing robust motivation and the capability to work autonomously, maintaining a high level of integrity and ethical values, demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills, having basic computer proficiency or the aptitude to learn for record keeping, maintaining a clean driving record, being able to regularly lift up to 75 lbs., consistently utilizing arms and legs with a full range of motion, engaging in frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling, and exerting push and pull forces as required.
