NB: For this role, we can consider developers who are not already located in the Netherlands, and who carry an EU citizenship, or a spouse-dependent visa. But we cannot offer visa sponsorship.
We are representing a client with a great product in the telecommunications industry. Their biggest challenge lies in optimizing their software solutions for maximum performance and scalability in evolving network environments.
Key Responsibilities
- GUI Development and Maintenance: Develop and improve a new GUI for advanced signalling products using Go/Rust/C++/C# and maintain the existing PHP-based GUI to meet ongoing user needs.
- User Experience Optimization: Apply the latest technologies and best practices to enhance the user experience of both GUIs, making them visually appealing and user-friendly.
- Quality Code and Bug Resolution: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using appropriate languages, tools, and frameworks. Diagnose and resolve software issues to maintain high-quality standards.
- Collaborative Team Efforts: Work closely with core-product developers, UI developers, architects, and testers to ensure smooth integration with backend systems.
- Quality Assurance and Standards Compliance: Engage in code and design reviews and perform unit and integration testing to ensure the software's reliability and adherence to industry standards.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest advancements and best practices in software development for telecommunications. Suggest and implement new solutions to improve software quality, performance, and efficiency.
- Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a full stack developer in a Linux environment, with PHP, React and one of the Go/Rust/C++/C# being a hard requirement.
- Frontend Development: Proficiency in React. Other front-end technologies such as JavaScript and frameworks like Angular or Vue are a plus. Knowledge of TypeScript is advantageous.
- Backend Development: A minimum of 2 years of experience with backend languages, including Go and PHP.
- Testing and Version Control: Experience with unit and end-to-end testing tools like Jest and Cypress, and proficiency with Git.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of using technical terminology effectively in English.
- Independence and Initiative: A proactive and self-motivated individual who can work independently and take initiative.
- Commitment to Quality: A strong focus on delivering high-quality solutions with a keen interest in UI design and user experience.
- Team Collaboration: Willingness to learn, share knowledge, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
