Senior Conveyor Belt Technician

About the Position

We are looking for an exceptionally skilled and seasoned Senior Conveyor Belt Technician to become a valuable member of our team in DFW (Irving, TX). In this pivotal position, you will significantly contribute to the prosperity of our belt splicing and service department, ensuring the seamless and efficient operation of our customers' production lines.

Location: Irving, Texas

Salary: $52,000 - $65,000

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee a team of technicians in executing belt splicing and repair tasks, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Conduct comprehensive inspections of conveyor belts to identify potential issues and propose effective solutions.
• Utilize various splicing techniques and equipment for hot and cold vulcanization of belts.
• Diagnose and rectify issues in conveyor belt systems, encompassing idlers, pulleys, and tensioners.
• Keep meticulous records of all belt inspections, repairs, and service calls.
• Offer technical support and training to fellow technicians and sales personnel.
• Formulate and implement safety protocols for the belt splicing and service department.
• Maintain a well-organized and clean work environment.
• Foster effective collaboration with other departments, including sales and customer service.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a conveyor belt technician, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in the application of hot and cold vulcanization techniques for conveyor belts, utilizing various equipment and methods.
• Thorough comprehension of conveyor belt systems and adept troubleshooting capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with both team members and customers.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and work autonomously.
• Robust commitment to safety awareness and adherence to established safety protocols.
• Proficiency in the utilization of pertinent tools and equipment, including power tools, measuring instruments, and safety gear.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
