Error correction is a pivotal role in progressing quantum technology. This role, for this specific European quantum technology company, offers an opportunity for a Senior Researcher to make a meaningful impact.
Since your error correction codes will be run naively on proprietary quantum technology chips, your influence will also extend to the choices that hardware teams make in their own work.
This kind of cross-functional collaboration is a common feature of the working culture you'll experience day to day.
Meaningful work + interesting challenges x healthy culture = great opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Researcher here. This isn't a role that we can offer to a person who hasn't already worked in the quantum industry.
We think the right Senior Error Correction Researcher might look something like this:
- PhD educated in a subject that offers transferable knowledge (Could be Quantum Physics, Classical Physics, Computer Science etc...)
- A history of working in an error correction capacity for another company
- This company is building a product, not a paper, and there is a marked difference between the 2. For this reason, we really value people who have worked in the industry on commercial projects for a few years already
- Of course, the right person will also have been programming for a while. 5 years or so maybe
Finally, we think the right person will have a naturally curious mind. This person is not being hired to be told what to do, this person should not require motivation to work from their leaders. And this person should not require hand-holding throughout day to day tasks.
Do you think you have the experience that puts you up to the challenge?
