Project focus:
As a quality manager, you will be an integral member of the core project teams, providing valuable QM expertise and structured assistance in planning and conducting customer acceptances, external customer audits, sustainable problem-solving, and preventive quality management.
Key skills and Experience required:
- Determine solution, product, and process-related quality requirements from customer contracts/R&D orders, track them, and provide hands-on support in their fulfillment.
- Plan all QM activities in the projects, check the adequacy and effectiveness of the QM measures, and support the project teams in their implementation.
- Plan and implement product safety standards (e.g., EU/CE certifications).
- Plan, coordinate, and commission project, product, and process audits, as well as prepare, coordinate, and execute inspections and acceptances with internal and external customers, suppliers, and testing institutions.
- Support the purchasing organization in the development and qualification of suppliers and materials when required.
- Actively participate in planning and executing project milestones and quality gates, risk management, and control the timely execution and content quality of milestone and risk meetings, including action tracking.
- Drive structured problem-solving processes in the event of non-conformance incidents, aiming for sustainable continuous improvement of solutions and processes.
- Monitor adherence to specified processes, coach project teams, and contribute to lessons learned.
- Collect metrics to measure product/service and process quality and ensure the planning and provision of quality reporting.
- Actively participate in general project management and project-specific solution/product development.
Required Qualifications:
- Successfully completed a master's degree in electrical engineering or a comparable field, with a focus on operational technical aspects.
- Several years of professional experience in the industrial plant business (e.g., as (part) project manager, (lead) engineer) and ideally experience as a testing field engineer and/or commissioning engineer.
- Good knowledge of quality management methodologies (e.g., FMEA, 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, lessons learned), QM standards, and experience in conducting audits and moderating QM methods.
- Knowledge of drive, energy, and automation technology, as well as standards and norms in plant engineering.
- Knowledge of processes, standards, and rules for maritime systems and plants is an advantage.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, assertiveness, and ideally intercultural experience with foreign partners and customers.
- Willingness to travel worldwide.
- Fluent German and English skills in both spoken and written form.
