Role Overview

As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for spearheading national medical endeavors that align with regional strategies and the Global Medical Plan. Your role will involve proactive management of medical scientific stakeholders, cultivating meaningful engagement to create value for patients. You'll drive medical and scientific projects, along with disseminating vital scientific communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate, foster, and nurture collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), scientific experts, and other vital medical stakeholders.
  • Develop, analyse, and present meticulously crafted medical, pharmaceutical, and scientific communications in accordance with predefined communication strategies.
  • Devise and implement robust stakeholder engagement plans, adhering to our rigorous standards.
  • Collaborate with the local "Global Brand" team to shape local medical strategies, offering insights to HQ/regional plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Advisor or Senior Medical Advisor (MA, SMA) to coordinate scientific advisory boards involving key stakeholders.
  • Actively contribute to various local and regional activities with a medical-scientific perspective.
  • Provide pertinent local and regional feedback to HQ during Business Development Due Diligence.
  • Offer insights to HQ-led medical programs before their launch.
  • Oversee the coordination of Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISSs) as appropriate and support local studies.
  • Collaborate on medical inquiries in conjunction with MA/SMA and HQ in Stockholm.
  • Represent our organization at relevant local, regional, and global conferences and symposia, engaging with stakeholders and clients.
  • Advocate for scientific interests in both internal and external platforms, engaging with KOLs in healthcare facilities and other Non-Governmental Organizations within the therapeutic domain.
  • Establish and enhance relationships with scientific societies and key decision-makers.
  • Provide expert medical advice to management, considering legal implications.
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge of therapeutic trends, safeguarding the currency of medical and scientific knowledge in the therapeutic area.

Qualifications

  • Hold a university degree in medical/science or a related field.
  • Possess over 3 years of direct experience in a medical environment, such as MSL or Medical Advisor roles.
  • Familiarity with medical affairs, medical/clinical science, clinical development, access, and health economics.
  • Profound knowledge of national healthcare systems and practices.
  • Proven experience in Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Management and Account Planning.
  • Proficiency in networking with KOLs at the national level.
  • Acquaintance with national healthcare systems, including regulatory, safety, legal, and compliance aspects.
  • Skill in communicating and cultivating relations with regulatory bodies.
  • Understanding of cGMP manufacturing of biologics and/or small molecule pharmaceuticals, coupled with industry regulatory standards.
  • Desirable experience in Haemophilia or rare diseases.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and German, applicable in a professional setting.

The position's base will be in Munich, Germany.
