Electrical Engineer / Battery

My client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the team in the renewable energy sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining battery systems for renewable energy projects, including solar and wind farms. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of battery systems, optimizing battery performance, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop battery systems for renewable energy projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Develop electrical schematics, layouts, and diagrams for battery systems.
• Perform calculations and simulations to optimize battery performance, including sizing, charging, and discharging parameters.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful integration of battery systems into overall renewable energy projects.
• Develop and maintain testing protocols for battery systems, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
• Monitor and troubleshoot battery systems, identifying and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Analyze data from battery systems and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in battery systems for renewable energy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, power electronics, and control systems.
• Experience with battery modelling and simulation software.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, including IEEE, IEC, and NEC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
