Are you a Head of IoT looking to take on a challenging role and shape the future of a company?
We're seeking a Head of IoT to join one of the fastest growing IoT startups in Munich and lead a diverse team of up to 7 Engineering Managers and over 30 Engineers across various groups including System & Embedded, AI, Backend, Frontend, Fullstack, DevOps, QA, and Testers.
You'll work closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager to hire the best tech talent and be responsible for all topics related to software development required to run the company's IoT fleet. This includes Systems and Embedded Engineering, Backend and Frontend Engineering, DevOps and QA Engineering, and maintaining the current software generation and R&D projects to ensure secure operations and compliance with regulations.
They use Serverless Python functions for their Microservices and GPU-enhanced microcontrollers to run our deep learning models on the edge and store data in the AWS cloud. They're an agile team with a "you built it, you run it" attitude and utilize AWS, Docker, and GitLab.
Ideally, you will have 8+ years of product engineering or R&D experience and 5+ years of technical leadership experience or 2+ years of people management experience. Strong Python or C/C++ coding skills, experience with Linux command line and GNU tools, and experience with AWS services are required. Additionally, strong written and spoken English skills are required.
