Senior Cybersecurity Consultant

For a major German brand who operate in more than 10 countries across Europe, the USA and Asia we're searching for a Security Consultant to join with the choice of both in-office or 95% remote working with occasional office visits.

They offer project work across vehicle software, development tools, cloud-based operational services, cybersecurity solutions, and comprehensive engineering projects for software-defined vehicles.

Ultimately they empower vehicle manufacturers and suppliers to efficiently develop, operate, and safeguard distinct vehicle software.

Your work will orientate around:

• Assisting customers in implementing IT security solutions, security processes, or security tests.
• Crafting analyses and concepts such as impact assessments, risk evaluations, security or testing plans.
• Evaluating documents from IT security development procedures.
• Analysing, designing, and specifying new IT security solutions in embedded systems.
• Assessing, modifying, and advancing existing IT security solutions.
• Producing studies and decision papers on novel IT security technologies.

We're looking for:

• Someone with an enthusiastic interest in IT security and specifically cryptography.
• Programming skills in C and Python, and potentially other languages (e.g., assembler, Java).
• A person with an academic degree in a technical or scientific discipline.
• Fluent German and fluent English language skills

The below features would be beneficial:

• Backend system security (servers, networks).
• Project experience on automotive electronics and bus systems.
• Internet of Things (IoT) and relevant interfaces (e.g., USB, Bluetooth, WiFi, mobile communications).
• Analytical thinking and a goal-oriented approach.
• Strong team spirit and effective communication abilities.
• Demonstrated creativity and a curiosity for diverse and emerging technologies.
